"MCP" might be Pte Maurice Claude Platts of 19 Washington St, Essendon, who enlisted in 1915 aged 18; "GJA" might be Sapper Grenville John Adam, of 32 Locke St, Essendon, enlisted in 1915 aged 18; and "JJW" might be Pte John Joseph Walshe, of 39 Daisy St who enlisted in 1915 aged 19.
