"Drayton, Henry James, Gunner.  born 10th July 1896, he enlisted 15 Sept. 1914 in the Artillery.  He served as a Gunner in the Howitzer Battery.   He went to Egypt, and thence to Gallipoli, where he took part in the landing on 25th April, 1915.  He was then sent to France and was gassed at Bullecourt.  After the war he became a farmer".
