Mrs. M. Harrington, of 48 Ngarveno st., Moonee Ponds, has received word that her son. Lieut. A. Harrington, is in hospital in England, suffering from severe gun shot wounds. It is 12 months since he left Australia, having seen active service in Egypt previous to going to France. A younger brother, Gunner J. Harrington, is also in the firing line. Mrs Harrington's brother, Sgt. L. Noonan, has been killed in action in France.

Lieut. A. Harrington, of Ngarveno street, Moonee Ponds, and late of Omeo, Gippsland, who was wounded in October last has been promoted to the rank of captain for gallantry. The young soldier has been mentioned in despatches and recommended for decoration.
