Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heathcote, of Lorraine street Essendon, have received word that their son No 1941 Sapper Roy Heathcote, of the 12th Field Engineers, has been awarded the Military Medal in France for having successfully carried a despatch while in the lines. He has been on active service for two years and nine months, and prior to enlisting was employed in the Newport Workshops. The late Lance Corporal C. F.
