Jacobson A Staff Nurse letter published in The Argus 23 Nob 1916.

"WAIT TILL WE RETURN."
TO THE EDITOR OF THE ARGUS.
Sir.-The following extract from a letter dated October 20 received to-day from my sister (Sister Helen Homan), who is at a casualty clearing station in France, shows what those at the front think about conscription:-

"We hear that there is another wretched shipping strike! That means delay in letters, the boys out here are awfully 'fed up' about it. Even those who were staunch Labourites would gladly have the punishing of the strikes. They say, Wail till "they get home!" If ever there is another referendum for conscription, the vote here will be almost unanimously in favour of it."

Yours &c.,
F. L. DEXTER HOMAN.
