Mr. Vin Hurry has enlisted and gone into camp at Seymour, preparatory to accompanying reinforcements at the front. His uncle, Mr Lew Hurry, who holds the rank of quarter-master sergeant* has already left these shores for the front, and is now on his way with the last contingent of reinforcements for the Dardanelles.
*Probably in the Citizens' Military Forces, not in the AIF.

Pte Lew Hurry, a brother of Mr. James Hurry, 64 Puckle street, is amongst the recent arrival of wounded men who have "done their bit" for Australia, both in Gallipoli and France. He is at present an [inmate] at the Base Hospital, having just undergone an operation of a serious nature, and although he came through the [ordeal], he is still weak from the effects.
