Westminster, England: motor builder; enl Melb Jan, 1915. War service: Egypt: on board H.M.T. "Southland" when torpedoed; Gallipoli. Capt. E. E. King is a Sth. African veteran, holding medal with three bars, also long service medal (City of London Territorials)".

News has been received by Mrs. E. King, Washington street., Essendon, that her husband. Capt. E. E. King, has been promoted to Major. He was on the Southland when it was torpedoed.
