PRIVATE W. H. WILLS (killed in action) was attached, to the 7th Battal
ion. He was the oldest son of Mr J. H. Wills, Mount Alexander road,
Flemington. He was born at Flemington, and attended the State school
there. Before enlisting he was a member of the 58th Essendon Rifles
A coach trimmer by trade, he was apprenticed to Mr De Lacy, of Russell
street, Melbourne. He was a member of the Stonehenge Lodge, United
Ancient Order of Druids, and was 19 years of age.

Private W H  Wills (killed) was a member of the 7th Battalion. He was the eldest son of Mr. J. H. Wills, Mt. Alexander Rd, Flemington, and met his death on 3rd June.** He was born at Flemington and attended the local State school. He was a  member of the 58th Essendon Rifles when he enlisted, and was a coach trimmer by trade. He was a member of the Stonehenge Lodge, U.A.O.D. and was 19 years of age.

 

** 3 June was the date of notification by cable.
