The Light Horse Depot, circa January 1915

Ern Latchford is standing in the front row, fifth from the left, with the C Squadron trainees of the Light Horse at Broadmeadows Camp. Ernest was assigned there on Wednesday 23 December 1914, but complained about the mud.  As the ground seems drier in these photos, they may date to January or February 1915. Photographer: Algernon Darge.  Courtesy of Mark Latchford.

These men are the same as those in the front row of the previous photo, and probably the Instructional Staff.   Taken Ern Latchford is standing third from the right, taken at Broadmeadows by Algernon Darge.  Courtesy of Mark Latchford.

A postcard of Light Horse recruits, probably at Broadmeadows.  Courtesy of Mark Latchford.
