This portrait of brothers-in-law R J Wells and S V Burrow was taken circa 1913 before their appointment to the 58 Infantry (Essendon Rifles), presumably when Wells was still at the 5 Australian Infantry Regiment, and Burrow as an Instructional Staff Officer.   Ern Latchford and Syd Burrow trained together from 1910 as Instructional Staff.   The mountboard is signed by the photographer, 'Agnes Thomson, Ascot Vale'. Courtesy of Mark Latchford.
