Pte. H. W. Adams, 14th Battalion, was killed in action in France on 8th August. He was the eldest son of Mr. H. A. W. Adams of 44 Orford street, Moonee Ponds, and his cousin, Corp. W. Young, 58th Battalion, is still on active service. His uncle, Sergt. E. A. W. Adams, was decorated with the D.C.M.
