Private Len. Baker, writing from France, states that he is pleased to get the "Essendon Gazette" occasionally, and learn about the district. Private Baker left in June, 1915, as a stretcher-bearer in the 6th Field Ambulance, but transferred to the Machine Gun Section of the 57th Battalion in February, 1916.
