Kyneton, has been accepted for active

service, and will leave for camp on

10th? inst. He will be accompanied by

Mr Edward Gock, second son of Mrs

Gock of South Kyneton, who has

also passed for service.

Private George Beer Wounded.

Private George Beer. 5th Australian

Pioneers, son of Mrs Beer, Powlett

street, Kyneton, has been reported

wounded. The nature of his wound

and the hospital to which he has been

admitted are not at present known,

but on receipt of later information, the

Defence Department have informed

Mrs Beer that she will be promptly

notified. Private Beer's many friends

in Kyneton will hope that his recov

ery will, be very rapid.
