MILITARY MEDAL WON.
Private Alexander Bertram has been awarded the military medal. He is a son of Mr and Mrs G. Bertram, of Laura street Moonee Ponds. Private Bertram enlisted in the 6th Field Ambulance in March, 1915, and with the exception of a few days leave granted to him to visit his relations in Scotland he has been on active service ever since. He served in Gallipoli and Egypt, and has been slightly wounded in France. He has a brother serving with the New Zealand forces.
