Knew a Sgt J Brock in C Coy in 6 AIF. Knew him well as Jim. His number would be from 790-750 in 6 AIF. Saw him lying dead at Cape Helles above the gully in the centre about May 10, the day after the charge on 9th. Sure it was he. Went up to his body, recognised him and noticed that his pay book was hanging half out of his pocket. Left him as there were plenty of pioneer about. He was quite dead. About 5 ft 6 or 7, fair, left Australia wearing a moustache but was clean shaven from time he was in Egypt. Medium build, enlisted in Victoria. Lived in a Melbourne suburb.
