Born at Roseneath, Essendon, 1887.   In 1912 he was living in Benalla with his brother Archie, both graziers.

 

Mary Dickinson’s 27 year old son, Dalzel Hearn, left Australia in early 1915, staying at the Waldorf Hotel on arrival in London, and enlisted in the British Royal Field Artillery, transferring later to the Royal Air Force.
