Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Challen, of 23 Dickens street, Moonee Ponds, have been notified that their son, Pte. Stanley G. Challen, has been wounded and is now in England. Pte. Challen has been on service over three years, this being his first time wounded after serving in Gallipoli, Egypt and France. Another son, Sergt. L. Challen, M.M., was killed in action on 4th January, 1917, after serving 2½ years.
