From 28th February to data this warrant officer has been in charge of  Divisional R.E. Dumps. On the Somme during the period of the German evacuation of LE BARQUE and THILLOY in February and early March he did great service in supervising the forwarding of R E stores under arduous circumstances.  Again during and after  the attack on  HERMES and DEMICOURT on 8th April When there was a serious lack of transport for R.E. stores he was instrumental in forwarding stores to the front line under adverse  conditions.
