Word has been received that Pte. James Felix Cunningham, late of Shields street, Flemington, has been killed. He was a fine lad, 18½ years of age, and was last employed in the preserving department of Angliss and Co.'s Works, Footscray.

CUNNINGHAM -In loving memory of Private
James Cunningham (our Jim) of E Company 6th
Battalion, AIF, who was killed in action on the
13th August, 1915, at Lonesome Pine, the dearly
beloved youngest son of William and Kate
Cunningham, and loving brother of William, Eily      
and Kitty, of 106 Shield street, Flemington, aged  
18½ years also his dear mate, Private T Cowell,*
who was killed with him.
May the Almighty God have mercy on their
poor souls and all the brave Australians
who fell with them.

Cowell, 6th Bn, of Auburn, who died on 15 Aug 1915.

Sid formerly resided in Moonee Ponds, and his brother

Harry L Cowell served with the 8 LHR.
