One Thousand Days with the AIF

Essendon boys will be pleased to hear of the safe return of Cpl. H. J. R. Ellis, lst Divisional Signal Company, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Ellis. of "Corolla," Napier crescent, Essendon. He has served his country for very nearly three years, going away with the first contingent and, after spending some time in Egypt, was at the landing and evacuation of Gallipoli and fought in France and Belgium. His nerves are not too good, but with proper care, he hopes to regain his strength.
