3176 Cpl T W Martin wrote to the Red Cross Missing and Wounded Enquiry Bureau from Havre on 24 Dec 1916 regarding 3010 Pte W H Aspinall, reported missing at Fleurbaix on 19 July 1916.  Martin reported having seen Aspinall since the 19th July, but it transpired that he had confused him with a brother.  Martin described himself as "formerly 58th Australians, now 15th ALMT Battery, HS Glenart Castle".

 

Martin later served as a lance sergeant and returned to Australia on 22 December 1918 as a member of the 58th Battalion.
