Pte. N. A. McBean, aged 29 years, youngest son of Mrs. Mary A. McBean and the late John Sinclair McBean, late of Newmarket, died from gas effects at Aldershot, England, on 9th October. He enlisted in Queensland in the 41st Battalion during October, 1915, and was wounded twice and admitted to hospital on 10th August, 1918. Pte. McBean was a brother of Mr. W. H. McBean, of "Orama," Shaftesbury street, Essendon, and also a brother of Mr. J. G McBean, Kensington.

McBEAN -An official cable message has been received
that Private N A McBean, son of Mrs McBean, sen.,
Orama, Shaftesbury street, Essendon has been gassed
and is dangerously ill, admitted to Australian General
Hospital 9/8/18. He enlisted with Queensland reinforce-
ments in May, 1915.
