Fynch R A 1707

Died of Wounds 4/7/18

Re the above named soldier.  Our records show the above NCO admitted to our Dressing Station on 4th July last, suffering from wounds head and arm (Left).  Died at 3 pm.  He was buried at the Military Cemetery Querrieu, Somme  No further particulars concerning this soldier are in our possession.

At Villers sur Ancre in the Elbow stunt, he was badly wounded by shell, I saw him taken to Dressing station, I went away for a time and coming back I heard he was buried in a cemetery (but I can't think of the name) and went to see the grave.  He was a great friend of mine.
