Wesley Chronicle May 1923: has the following:
"H. Rabling (1906), after war service with the Field Engineers, went to America, and was metallurgist to a Californian lead mine. He purchased a Dodge car, and after travelling across America from west
to east, sold the worn out " bus " for £10. He is back in Victoria hoping to settle down here."
In 1926 he is noted as a manager with the Vacuum Oil Company.
In 1949 the following article was printed:
"The King's Medal for "Service in the Cause of Freedom"—a rare decoration especially struck in 1945 for civilians who gave valuable assistance during the war while living in countries other than those of the British Empire—was recently awarded to Harold Rabling (1906). This was in recognition of his services as chairman of the Anzac War Relief Fund in New York in 1943, 1944 and 1945. The fund was organised in New York in 1940 by a small group of Australians, New Zealanders, and Americans to provide comforts and medical supplies for Australian and New Zealand forces in war areas. In 1942 it was merged with other societies with somewhat similar aims, and in five years the societies provided cash and goods amounting to about £250,000. Harold Rabling is chairman and managing director of the 'Vacuum Oil Co. Pty. Ltd".
