Roy Cosma Glanvill was born at Kensington Hill in 1898, which made him at least 12 months short of the 18½ years that he claimed when he enlisted in August 1915.

Later becoming ill, Roy was classified as fit for permanent base duties only. He returned to Australia on 12 May 1918.
