A happy occasion at the end of the war. Seated in the centre is Lt J R Greeves, the bridegroom, with his friends: from the left Lieutenant Harold Robert Newall of Essendon, best man; Lieutenant Stanley Towns, MC, of Prahran; and Captain C J Blomfield, MC, of New South Wales, all of the 31 Infantry Battalion. LIEUTENANT WOUNDED
Information has been received by Mrs B. Greeves, Bellalr street, Kensington,
that her son, Lieutenant J. R. Greeves, has been severely wounded in action.
He was shot in the forehead, and is now in hospital. Lieutenant Greeves
was for many years employed in the stereotyping department of "The
Herald" office.

"Word has been received by Mrs Greeves of Kensington, that her son,
2nd Lieutenant J. R. Greeves, of a Lewis Machine Gun section, has been
promoted 1st Lieutenant. Before enlisting Lieutenant Greeves was em-
ployed by "The Herald" and "Weekly Times" Ltd.

"HERALD" EMPLOYE WOUNDED
Mrs S. Greeves, of 200 Bellair street, Kensington, has received
news that her son, Lieutenant J. R. Greeves, of the 31st Battalion,
was admitted to the 14th General Hospital, Boulogne, on
November 2, suffering from gunshot wound. When he enlisted,
Lieutenant Greeves was an employe of "The Herald." Beginning
as a messenger boy, he advanced to the commercial department,
and afterwards was engaged in the stereotyping department.
