Mr. N. L. Gyles, of Moonee Ponds, who enlisted lately, is a South African veteran. He is a married man, 40 years of age, and while on service in South Africa he was twice wounded. His father took part in the Eureka riot, and his grandfather fought at Trafalgar.

EAGER TO FIGHT AGAIN

 

Though a married man, 40 years of age, Mr
N. L. Gyles, of Moonee Ponds, enlisted at
the Town Hall recruiting depot yesterday.
While serving in the South African war, he
was twice wounded, on the second occasion
the bullet passing through his body. Mr
Gyles is to join the Flying Corps. His father,
the Iate S. W. Gyles, took part in the Eureka

riot, and his grandfather fought at Trafalgar.
