Recommendation for Military Medal 38th Battalion AIF 2337 Private Albert Benjamin HAYTHORNE
For conspicuous gallantry in action East of ROSSHOY on the 29th September 1918. On three separate occasions this soldier in full view of the enemy went out from cover and under intense machine gun fire brought back wounded comrades. During the ensuing two days, his coolness and courage were most marked and were a source of inspiration to all around him.
