Arthur arrived in England a few days after the Armistice. He was initially marched out with reinforcements for the 14 Inf Bn, was was subsequently transferred to 4 Division Headquarters.

**Further investigation revealed that Gordon Edgerton was discharged and did not embark, but his cousin Victor Roberts Shacklock Edgerton did, on the Troopship Barambah with A J Hutchison.
Arthur John Hutchison may be the A Hutchison who played in the North Essendon Methodist Cricket Club in 1925-26, and the member of the junior Wattle Club who won the "championship" on the Christmas Camp 1917.
