Teal Joseph Edward  1722
AMC (Aust) 5

K. 3rd Octr 1918.  Det D/B

I knew him well.  He came from N S Wales and had been a horsebreaker.  He was about 28, shortish and dark.  About the 3rd Octr we were near the Hindenburg line in supports.  During the night Teal was out getting tea when a plane dropped a bomb and he was killed right out.  His body was brought down and buried at Templeux.
