A send-off was given by the South Kensington Juniors, at their club rooms, Gorry’s Bay View Hotel, on Saturday last, to two of their players, Messrs. E. Hearle and D. McNee, who have volunteered for the  front. Songs, dancing, games, etc., helped to make a pleasant evening, and at supper Mr. Bert Henry, on behalf of the club, wished their comrades God speed and a safe return; and, on behalf of the "Bay View," presented them with pocket books. Both gentlemen responded, and at the conclusion of the evening, Mr. A. Mclvor, in a neat speech, thanked their hostess for her kindness to the club.

In Memoriam

McNEE-HEARLE.—A tribute to the memory of

Pte. Duncan McNee, killed in action on the 26th

August, 1916, the dear friend of our son,

Pte. Eddie Hearle, who died of wounds on the

21st July, 1916.

Friends reunited.

Their warfare o'er, their battle fought;

Their victory won, though dearly bought;

Their fresh young lives could not be saved;

They slumber now in soldiers' graves.
