A cable message has been received that Private N. J. A. Lindsay, who left about 12 months ago, has been wounded in France, the wounds being in his thigh and ankle.

Lindsay embarked for overseas with the 6th Reinforcements from Melbourne on 27 October 1915 aboard HMAT Ulysses (A38). After a short stopover in Egypt, he proceeded to France in March 1916 and was wounded in action on 30 July 1916 at Pozieres. Following medical treatment in France, he was evacuated to England for further treatment and then returned to Australia where he was discharged medically unfit for further service on 6 February 1918.
