ROLL OF HONOR
Sgt. C. E. Maine, 2nd Field Ambulance, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maine, of "St. Ives," Dickens street., Moonee Ponds, has been wounded. In December he was mentioned in despatches by Sir Douglas Haig.

Mr. F. Maine, of 30 Dickens street, Moonee Ponds, has received word that his elder son, Sgt Charles E. Maine, has been mentioned in despatches for conspicuous services rendered. He enlisted in August, 1914, and went away with the Army Medical Corps in the following October. He served in Gallipoli, was at the landing there, and after its evacuation saw service in France. He was dangerously wounded on the fourth anniversary of being in the field. He is now in Reading hospital in London. His younger brother, Claude, is leaving for the front shortly.
