C.P.O. E. C. Perkins, of the Naval Bridging Train (killed) was formerly sergeant in the Essendon Rifles, and was offered the position of Chief Petty Officer in the Naval Bridging Train, which he joined to learn the trade of blacksmithing. He formerly worked for Mr. B. Laughlin, of Flemington. He was a popular lad, 21 years of age. His parents reside in Pascoe crescent, Essendon.

It was resolved that a letter of condolence be sent to Mrs. Perkins re the sad loss of her son.

Suvla Bay, Gallipoli.

PERKINS.-In loving memory of our dear brother,
Edward Charles (chief petty officer of the N.B.T.),
who was killed, at Suvla Bay, on the 6th September,
1915.
Though the waves of ocean divide us,
And you sleep on a foreign shore
Remembrance is a relic
That will last for evermore,
