OUR SOLDIERS
Private Jim Nutt, under date 2/12/15. reports all well from the trenches, despite the cold. The Turks gave them some lively shelling; but did not do much damage. Although at first the shells make one feel uncomfortable, they soon become accustomed to them. We have plenty of warm clothes and are supplied with capes which keep us nice and warm. It is pretty breezy gazing over the parapet in the small hours; but we have to keep a sharp look-out, as they are so near, and crawl about like snakes.
