Complimentary Concert to Lieut. Horace Stevens.
The friends and fellow artists of Lieut. Horace Stevens, who has joined the Dental. Corps in the Expeditionary Forces, will tender him a complimentary farewell concert in the Town Hall, Melbourne, on Tuesday next, 2nd May. Reserved, 3s; unreserved, 2s. At a meeting held to promote the entertainment (which will be under the patron age of Madame Melba), representatives of all branches of the musical profession were present to show their appreciation of one who has so worthily upheld his reputation in the realm of song, thereby guaranteeing one of the finest programmes ever submitted to a Melbourne audience. The public will be pleased to do honour to the gallant lieutenant, who, for many years, has delighted them in oratorio and concert performances and for his generous assistance at all times in the cause of charity and patriotic entertainments.
