VILLERS-BRETONNEUX MEMORIAL

 

News has been received that Gunner Robert Royle, of 27 Sussex st., Moonee Ponds, was killed in action in France, on 3rd November. He went away from Victoria in August, 1915 with the 8th reinforcements of the 7th battalion, and saw service in Gallipoli and Egypt before going to France. The deceased, who was a son of Mrs. Beck, of 105 The Parade, leaves a widow and four children. He was a builder by occupation, and was in business for himself before joining the colours.
