BRAVERY IN THE FIELD.

Another local boy has distinguished himself in this great war. Mr. A. S. Moore, of 483 Mt. Alexander road, Moonee Ponds, has been notified that his son, Private J. E. Moore, has been awarded the military medal for bravery on the field in France.

Leaving Australia with the first  contingent, being attached to the
6th Field Ambulance, 2nd Army Medical Corps, Private J. E.
Moore has been awarded the Military Medal. He is a son of
Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Moore, of Moonee Ponds. A brother, Pri-
vate R. D. Moore, is also serving in France.

One Thousand Days with the AIF

 

Moore John Edward Private Born 10th Dec 1894.  enlisted August 1914. He

served with the Engineers, 6th Field Ambulance, and the Flying Corps.  He was

fighting at the landing on Gallipoli, at Pozieres, the Somme, Bullecourt and Ypres.

He was successful in gaining a Military Medal, for bravery.
