Flemington-Kensington Church News, June 1919
Vet Sgt, Norman H. Wallder, Aust. Vet. Hospital, left Australia for England on 21/l0/16, and on arrival was encamped at Lark Hill and had a good look around London on first leave. After a time he was sent over the Channel to Calais, just missing his Scottish leave, which was a disappointment.
For the four months before the Armistice he had been moved up the line of operations. He comparatively recently took horses through to Paris and had a short leave and an enjoyable time there. When, last heard of he had been in some kind of accident and was suffering from burns. We sincerely hope that long before this reaches the other side of the water he will have fully recovered.
