Mr. and Mrs. F. O'Dee, of Moonee Ponds, have received word that their second youngest son, Bert, has gained his commission on the field in France. He is 21 years of age and enlisted in 1916.
Their eldest son, Les. O'Dee, has recently returned from the front, after having been severely wounded on the Somme in November, 1916.
