Word has been received by Mr. J. Trevan,   of Burton crescent, Ascot Vale, that his son, Private Stuart G Trevan, 13th Field Ambulance, has been awarded the military medal for good work under fire, and devotion to duty during the operations, 5th to 12th April, 1917. Pte. Trevan is 20 years of age and was educated at the Christian Brothers College, East Melbourne. Prior to enlistment he was employed on the clerical staff of the state railways.

Private Stewart Graham TREVAN    For Consistent good work and devotion to duty throughout the Australian Attack on NOREIUL and the HINDENBURG LINE*, 5th to 12th April 1917 and ever since coming to FRANCE in June 1916, he has invariably set a fine example of coolness and cheerfulness under fire together with unflagging energy, thus heartening his fellow stretcher bearers under the most trying circumstances.

Word has been received by Mr. J. Trevan, of Burton-crescent, Ascot Vale, that his son, Private Stuart Trevan, of the 13th Field Ambulance, has been awarded the Military Medal for his "good work under fire; and devotion to duty, during the operations, 5th to 12th April, 1917." Private Trevan, is 20 years of age, and was educated at the Christian Brothers' College, East Melbourne. Prior to enlistment, he was employed on the clerical staff of the State railways. A communication received reads:— "Major-General Holmes, C.M.G., D.S.O., VD., commanding 4th Australian Division; congratulates Private Stuart G. Trevan, 13th Field Ambulance on his good work under fire and devotion to duty during the operations, 5th to 12th   April, 1917."
