LONGUENESSE (ST. OMER) SOUVENIR CEMETERY

 

Pte. G. R. Scott, fourth surviving son of Mr. R. Scott, late head teacher of Essendon State school, residing at "Stronsay," Buckley street, Essendon, died of wounds at the 10th Stationary Hospital in France, on 22nd October. He was head teacher of the State school at Noorat Estate before enlisting, and one of his brothers. Spr. A. G. Scott, died on service in December, 1916. while Corp. R. G. Scott. is still at the front.

Died of Wounds
re Pte G R Scott.  He was admitted to this Hospital suffering from paralysis, due to Hemiplegia which got rapidly worse and caused his death 2 days after admission.  He is buried in the French Souvenir Cemetery St Omer and a cross will be erected later over the site of the grave.
