RICE.-Killed in action in France, October 5th, 1917. Herbert George Rice, dearly loved only son of Robert and Sarah Rice; 635 Mt. Alexander road, Moonee Ponds, loved brother of Jessie Louise (deceased), Daisy and Pearlie; after one year and five months' active service, 7th Battalion, late 39th.  A kind, thoughtful son and brother.   His duty nobly done. Peace, perfect peace.
