A number of young friends spent a most enjoyable time at the home of Miss Sylvia Cooper, "Silveroy," Davies street, Moonee Ponds, on January 14th, to celebrate the home-coming of Private Geo. Trott, of the 57th Battalion, who has been invalided home from the front. During the evening, Miss Myrtle Patterson, on behalf of the ladies of the khaki evenings, in a neat speech, presented Private Trott with a gold signet ring, with his battalion colours inset. Private Trott suitably responded.

A good deal of amusement was caused by the novelty competitions, the prizes being secured by Sergt. Jack Martin, Cpl. Streater and Pte. Trott. Those who contributed to an excellent programme were Misses Gladys and Gwen Hooper, Fowler, Warren and Trott, Cpl. Binder, Mr. Stephen McDonald and Mr. Nicholl. Elocutionary items by Miss Sylvia Cooper concluded an excellent evening's enoyment, and the singing of the National Anthem brought a very happy evening to a close.
