The photo above shows Quince in his senior cadet uniform with the 58 Infantry (Essendon Rifles) in 1915. He did not enlist until 1917, and then was co-incidentally assigned to the 58th Infantry AIF. Thank you to Simon Clegg for drawing my attention to the photo.
Mr Quince, Grice street, has received word that his son, Pte. W. A. Quince, was wounded in France on 27th April, and is now in the Beaufort War Hospital, Bristol.
