SIMPKINS -Mrs H Simpkins, Moonee Ponds, has been notified that her son. Private C H V Simpkins, is suffering from gunshot wounds in the head. He was  scoutmaster of 1st Essendon Scouts.

Mrs. H. Simpkins, 55 Lorne street, Moonee Ponds, has received notice that her son, Pte. C.H.V. Simpkins, was wounded in France on 29th September, and removed to Weymouth Hospital, England, suffering from gunshot wounds in the head. Prior to enlistment he was on the Australian Imperial Boy Scouts Headquarters and also Scoutmaster of the 1st Essendon Troop of Scouts.
