August, Private G. J. Phelan, aged 21 years 10
months, 1st Pioneer Battalion, after three years'
service; dearly beloved fourth son of Joseph
and Mary Phelan, of Flemington, brother of  
Stanley (prisoner of war) and Cecil (on active
service. R.I.P. (Inserted by his sorrowing

parents.)
