An inquiry was conducted at the
Kyneton Drill Hall on Saturday into
charges preferred by the Kyneton
"Observer" against Captain Dettmann,
the district area officer, principally in
connection with the management of
the Easter Cadet camp at, Kyneton. The
inquiry was conducted by Captain
Finey (headquarters), Lieut. Nichol
son, area officer of Abbotsford, and
Lieut. Housden, area officer of Bendigo.
Evidence was taken from 10 a.m. to 6
p.m., when the sitting was adjourned
till 10 o'clock this morning, when the
finding will probably be announced.
About 80 cadets from Castlemaine
journeyed to Kyneton to attend the
inquiry.
