'Lyle' Minto proceeded to the Gallipoli Peninsula where he was transferred to the 3rd Infantry Brigade Headquarters with the rank of Lance Sergeant.  He served with the Divisional Train Post Office Corps. On 8 Sep 1915 he was admitted to hospital at Anzac, and evacuated from the Peninsula to Lemnos on 19 September 1915 with diarrhoea.  He was returned to Australia for discharge, medically unfit.  RTA 4 Dec 1915, Sergeant, 3rd Inf Brigade HQ
