MOONEE PONDS WEST SCHOOL. During the afternoon of Wednesday, 25th April, the scholars of above school were assembled in the School Hall, and a programme appropriate to the occasion was carried out. Patriotic songs were rendered by the children, and addresses given by Capt.-Chaplain Booth, from the Maribyrnong Camp, and Sergeant Newton, returned soldier. The latter interested the children greatly by exhibiting curios, coins, bombs, etc. The ceremony of saluting the flag and the singing of the National Anthem concluded the proceedings.
